Penguins Tie Akron Zips in Scrimmage

Due to the interest in the result of today's 7 on 7 scrimmage, we decided to write a short article on the YSU vs. Akron scrimmage today. Due to NCAA rules, we do not believe the coaches of either program were involved in this 7 on 7 scrimmage whatsoever; we are of the belief that the players organized this event.

Yesterday afternoon, Youngstown State tied the Akron Zips in a pre-season 7 on 7 scrimmage in Akron. Although we cannot confirm a score, an Akron Zips fan is reporting that the Zips scored 6 touchdown's in the contest, which means the Penguins scored 6 touchdown's as well. We do not have any stats from the contest and do not anticipate hearing any either.

In closing, we do want to stress that this is a pre-season 7 on 7 scrimmage which mean's there was no line present and no real contact involved.
